Tasnim Sammak is a Melbourne Palestinian activist and academic (PhD in Education, Monash University) who founded and speaks for the Free Palestine Coalition Naarm, which says it "opposes the two-state solution", and acts as a lead marshal at the weekly Melbourne Palestine rallies. On 10 November 2023 a pro-Palestine rally was held in Princes Park directly outside Central Shule, and 150 congregants were evacuated during Shabbat worship; Free Palestine Melbourne said it did not authorise a post by Sammak promoting the rally. The Australian Jewish News reported that she had accused Israel supporters of the firebombing of the Burgertory restaurant in Caulfield South, hours before that rally, and that she was the respondent in a Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) proceeding brought by a Jewish community activist, which was settled.
At the rally on the steps of Flinders Street Station, Melbourne, on 12 February 2026, as Israeli President Isaac Herzog ended his visit, she told the crowd of about 10,000 (AAP): "As we gather here today, we condemn the genocide of the indigenous people of this land, whose land is stolen, and as a consequence, we have a white government that thinks it is the authority over this land... It is white sovereignty that brought Herzog here... The colonization here has not ended, and it's time for colonization to end here and across the world. It's overdue... We live under settler colonialism, white supremacy, and apartheid here... It is time for the Israeli colony to decolonize, and that is not hateful... it is a time up for the Zionist colonization of Palestine."
In the days before that rally, lawyers for Sammak filed a private prosecution against President Herzog in the Magistrates' Court of Victoria: a charge sheet of eight offences including genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and incitement under Victorian law. The charges had not been authorised by the court (Deepcut News, 11 Feb 2026; Hind Rajab Foundation, 10 Feb 2026). No outcome has been found. No record has been found of Sammak herself being charged with any offence.

The Evidence Project is an independent, investigative timeline archive — every case, every document, every date, laid out in order so the full picture is there to see. Each entry links through to primary sources, footage, and documents so nothing here rests on our word alone.
We are not aligned with any political party, movement, or side. We hold every figure and organisation on this site to the same standard of evidence, regardless of who they are or what they believe — not because we're neutral on the issues, but because the facts, once verified, don't need us to take a side for them.
A note on what this site is — and isn't
Inclusion here documents a verified event, connection, or statement on the public record. It is not an accusation, and it does not imply guilt, association, or wrongdoing beyond what the cited sources themselves establish. Where a claim is contested, unconfirmed, or needs context for fairness, we say so.
What this is about: a small network of individuals and organisations who promote extremism, and the institutions that funded, platformed or overlooked them. It is not about Muslims. Most Muslim Australians reject these views, and many have spoken out against them at real cost to themselves. They are part of the solution.
This site exists so people can read, learn, and reach their own conclusions — not so it can be used as ammunition against anyone. Do not use it to harass, threaten or target anyone, whether a person named here, their family, or any community. If you're looking for a reason to target someone, you won't find it built into this site; you'll only find the record, and what you do with it is on you.
This is a conversation Australia needs to have, and we welcome that conversation.
If we got something wrong, tell us and show us the source — we'll check it and correct it publicly. Tips and documents are welcome too: contact@evidenceproject.au
